Sharing Lesson Ideas
New section coming soon

Are you looking for lesson ideas on how to teach kids bible stories?

I like to teach kids in so many different styles. Object lessons are a great way to help with the application, bring the Bible stories to life by acting out parts of it, or use food or toys to help them remember your lesson when they eat and play throughout the week and so many more ways to teach. Love to share lesson ideas with you.

Lesson Idea's

Object Lesson - Science experiment - 2 parts of this experiment is great for teaching on Salvation and Assurance!

I have used the 1st half of this experiment for years to explain the ABC of salvation, but one thing kids struggle with is the assurance of salvation.

I had a theory that this might work, so I experimented, and the second half of this video presents the results. I used this in my lesson this Sunday, and the kids got it. We can teach kids bible lessons in fun ways. When was the last time you used a science experiment in your kid's ministry?

Teaching with Lego (Story of Job)

Teaching with Lego is a great tool for kids as it's something they love and it's visual. I did the story of Job with the different things he lost, and the Lego was great for review. Every time I pointed to the scene we had already talked about, the kids had to tell me what happened. Wow! They did great.

When you teach with Lego they also love the creative thought you put into it will probably laugh at something, but also are more likely to remember it.

Faithful David (also last minute Lesson idea)

I wasn't meant to be teaching, but someone was sick. This idea is helpful for last-minute lessons but is even better for planned lessons. Find toys and random objects to use the kids' imagination to bring the story to life.

We were learning about faithfulness from David, who was faithful in the little things as a young man long before he killed Goliath and became king. He was faithful in looking after his Father's sheep and learning to play the harp.

Using Jelly to Teach

We did the Bible story of the crossing of the Red Sea with Lego and jelly.  You set the jelly (maybe with some sea animals) and cut the middle section out of the jelly.  Remove for the Israelites to walk through on dry ground and when they put Pharoh and his army in the middle. Pour some hot water for the jelly to melt down on them.
